Built to the latest CFJ class association specs, the Zim Club FJ is reliable, refined, and supported by a nation wide dealer network.

Zim Sailing's Club FJ sailboat is approved by the CFJ class association and the choice of active one design FJ sailors. Sometimes referred to as the 'JRV' option, this model is designed for junior racing in the FJ class. The boat and class association are active here on the west coast, racing with a spinnaker, with agile performance and the ability to sail in a wide range of conditions. The Zim Club FJ has the same proven, durable lineage as their Club 420 models, ensuring a quality, competitive boat.

Wait, this is the 50+ year old boat design and it is still used?

Yes, it is. We actually have a personal soft spot for the boat, since many of us here at West Coast Sailing learned to sail and race on them. It is still commonly used for High School and College sailing at schools across the country and has an active one design junior racing fleet on the west coast. The FJ is a viable option for clubs looking for a performance fiberglass dinghy for junior sailing racing or instruction.

Boat Delivery is going to be expensive, isn't it?

Despite their size, we are able to ship most boats around North America safely and inexpensively. While boats don't qualify for free shipping, we do subsidize the cost for each customer to keep it reasonable. To see your exact cost, add a boat to your cart and it will show an exact flat rate cost as you checkout. Typically, small boats ship for $300-$600, medium sized boats ship for $400-$800, and larger boats, such as the RS Venture or RS21, ship for $700-$1200.
