Why does this matter? The vang attachment point is one of the most critical load-bearing areas on the ILCA rig. Historically, sailors have faced fatigue and cracking issues with the traditional pressed fittings. Selden has now redefined the standard with a precision-cast stainless steel bracket, developed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to reinforce high-stress zones and eliminate weak points.
