Wear out quickly- not worth the investement

I had these boots for less than three weeks before the rubber ripped and no longer keep my feet dry. In less three months of my dinghy sailing season, they completely fell apart and I had to duct tape them together in order to wear them. I took extremely good care of them all season, only putting them on once I was in the boat, etc, and still the rubber tore along every seam. If you are looking for a pair of boots to wear them while being active in the boat, I would not recommend these.

Quick Delivery but Wore out VERY Quickly

I purchased these on sale (sail) for about $75 about two weeks ago and I was very excited to get them. After an anticipated 1-2 week delivery, they arrived after about three days after I ordered them, much earlier than expected. I wore them to a regatta the next day and fell in love with the waterproof-ness of the high cut boot. At first, they seem pretty well made. They come with an elastic pair of laces as well as a regular string pair. In addition to this, they are very warm, even when wet (especially with wool socks!). They held up fine for two more regattas, until I noticed a small slit in the side of the boot that started letting water in. The grey rubber layer is very thin and bends when you walk. After bending back and forth so many times, the boots wore out the seam between the grey rubber section and the black rubber laces. No point in having rubber sailing boots if they don't keep the water out. My guess is that they are not a defect pair since another member of my team warned me to get them since she had the same problem. Maybe going to try the NeilPryde Evolution boot instead. Best of luck.
