Description
A twin tube mast Flotationbag. It slides up and down the mast at the same time as the mainsail, which makes it a very tidy and unobtrusive design. Helps prevent a full inversion. Total capacity 8 liters. Only works on boats with a mainsail mast track. This is a generic fitting - can be adapted to work with many RS models with a mast track and mainsail bolt rope. Does not include boat specific instructions; we recommend connecting the two fabric loops at the top of the bag into the main halyard line (when connecting it to the grommet at the head of the sail). A small diameter mouse halyard can be used on the lower end to ensure you can pull the sail back down without the bag getting stuck in the track.

RS Mast Flotation Bag
A must-have for any RS/Neo sailor who's experienced the frustrating speed at which these boats can turtle in heavy air. Effectively keeps your RS/Neo upright, even in really heavy wind/wave conditions. For optimal use: 1) Apply a small amount of yachtman's lube to the white part of the device to ensure smooth movement along the mast track. 2) Use a soldering iron to seal the leading edge of the white part, preventing fraying and making mast setup easier. 3) Rig the device deflated with the air valves positioned on the bottom and facing aft. This allows for easy inflation once the device is started up the mast. With this anti-turtle device, you can sail your RS/Neo in any conditions, knowing that you're prepared for the unexpected.
