I bought this and I like the idea of replacing the blue plastic eyestrap that I had. However, the piece that I received and installed was quite long, enough to provide about a 1 inch drop from the boom. If you're particular you should know that the class rules state the distance between the boom and the eyestrap must be less that 15mm. I ended up re-riveting one end and then cutting off the excess. You will probably have to remove the end cap if you don't like the sound of the drilled out rivet pieces rattling around inside the boom. (Be careful, my boom had a rivet through the end cap).
