Just Released: Laser / ILCA Cunningham, Outhaul, and Vang Upgrades w/ Technora Control Line from the WCS Rig Shop
The West Coast Sailing Rig Shop is excited to introduce a new line of Laser / ILCA upgrades. Building on the success of the PRO range, the new TecPRO series (short of TechnoraPRO) features Robline Polytech control lines, an extremely durable control line with Dyneema SK78 core and Technora/Polyester blend cover.
About TecPro
Short for TechnoraPro, the TecPro series features an upgraded control line, as compared to our standard PRO series upgrades. We use Robline Polytech for these control systems, which has a super low stretch Dyneema SK78 core and blended Technora/Polyester cover. This is a great upgrade over our standard Robline Dinghy Control option.
6:1 Outhaul TecPRO
Upgrade your Laser / ILCA outhaul to the latest 6:1 purchase system with this complete set up from our Rig Shop. This is our updated 'Aft Loop' quick release style. Our TecPRO outhaul includes two single blocks with spliced Dyneema for luggage tagging around mast and boom cleat, a single block with Dyneema primary line (led aft to clew) and Robline Polytech technora control line (led forward and down to deck cleat), and our classic clew shackle w/ block for easy on and off. The Dyneema Primary Line features a large loop at the end for looping around the end of the boom, allowing easy rigging and derigging (like a quick release). Our experts have fine tuned this system so that the lengths are perfect for dialing in your outhaul on a Laser Standard / ILCA 7 or Laser Radial / ILCA 6.
8:1 Cunningham TecPRO
Upgrade your Laser / ILCA cunningham control to the latest 8:1 purchase system with this complete set up from our Rig Shop. Our TecPRO 8:1 cunningham uses a set of three Harken T2 carbo blocks to create a cunningham that is easy to rig and unrig, with integrated Dyneema primary for connecting to your vang and luggage tag loop on lower block for attaching to your mast section. Control line is a Robline Polytech, a high tech double braid with Dyneema SK78 core and polyester/Technora 16 cover for great durability.Our experts have fine tuned this system so that the lengths are perfect for dialing in your Laser / ILCA outhaul. Designed for Laser / ILCA sailboats with upgraded deck hardware - deck blocks and deck cleats.
Vang Control TecPRO
Upgrade your Laser / ILCA boom vang assembly with our TecPRO control line upgrade. This kit starts with a Harken 18mm T2 Double Block, a popular choice among Laser/ILCA sailors. We splice on a length of 3mm Dyneema for the primary, complete with an eye at the end. The 4mm Robline Polytech line is also spliced to the double block, creating a clean setup with no knots to worry about. Installing this upgrade requires an upper vang block with a *removable* vang key and a vang base (NOT INCLUDED). Use your existing hardware and simply swap out your lines for this kit, or purchase a new upper vang block and vang base separately. Available in several control line color options. All Dyneema line is gray. Uses all Harken hardware.
