Yup, another boat show this week. We flew out to Chicago to support our Mid-West Bladerider Dealer – Torresen Marine.
Strictly Sail Chicago is hosted at Navy Pier right on the (frozen) Lake Michigan.
Big crowds and good fun, but, it was 9F degrees last night when we finished the show and went for dinner….. Brrrrrr!

It’s like the CIRCUS coming to town, it’s a spectacle!! (without elephants, monkeys & etc)

Boat Show Times, Pricing, etc:
2009 was bumpy for the marine industry, but for us, it represented our - best year ever.
We have grown over the past 5 years, Hooray! But no time to relax….. Coming up in ‘10;

Inventory – We’ve ordered even – more – inventory! If you can believe it, our warehouse has even more dinghy stuff in it. We’ve reached the highest buying levels with Gill. We added some more Zhik. In February the new Ronstan apparel arrives, and SEA has a big shipment on the way too!
Website - We’ve just scratched the surface of what our new website can do. We’ll be adding even more features and content this year. We’re working on some gear reviews, how to videos, more user guides and information. We’ve already got Parts Locators and Rigging Guides up now. Also, the Happy Customers page is back in action!
Boats – We’ve added a few new boats. The Weta and some additional RS Sailboats are available (Including the RS100!).
Warehouse Upgrades – In case anyone is ever curious, we’re a real live brick and mortar shop. With 7000sq ft of retail available, we’ve added a large backstock inventory section. We’re adding more resources to our order filling department, so – YOUR ORDER – gets out on time, even same day if placed early enough.
Events & Sponsorships – We’ll be hitting more events, with our travel trailer and staff and sponsoring some new sailors for 2010.
