U.S. Sailing Youth Champs – Laser Charter Information
West Coast Sailing is proud to support the 2012 U.S. Sailing Youth Championships! This event is taking place at the Columbia River Gorge, our local sailing venue, and we’ll be providing a number of Laser charters.
A limited number of charter boats are available, so charters will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. After receiving your order for a charter, we will contact you promptly to either confirm your reservation or notify you of your position on our waiting list. Your credit card will not be charged until after we have confirmed a reservation.
Strictly Sail Pacific is certainly our big event of the month – but that does not mean it is quiet at home! Pre-season parts and apparel have landed and our shelves are stocked with the gear you need. Get ready up for the spring season at West Coast Sailing!
Open House 2012 – local sailors mark your calendars – the annual WCS Open House will take place Saturday, April 28th. Come check out our new location, see the boats on display, and score deals on gear at our swap meet. We’ll have the bbq going and look forward to seeing you!

Summer Charters and Event Support
It’s never too early to start planning your summer sailing events. We’re privileged to have several key events happening right in our backyard – Laser North America’s, U.S. Sailing Youth Champs, 29er events – and a full schedule of top-notch regattas. Expect to see us out at the Gorge with parts, apparel, and advice. Feel free to get in touch if we can provide any assistance as you plan your events this summer.
We are pleased to announce a new partnership with boat builder Zim Sailing. Based in Warren, Rhode Island, Zim Sailing is a class approved builder of the Club 420, Flying Junior, and Optimist. Backed by years of know-how and industry experience, Zim also builds institutional versions of the 420 and FJ – great for clubs, high schools, and colleges!
The philosophy at West Coast Sailing has always been simple – provide great service by offering a selection of the best boats and gear and sharing expert advice. We hope our partnership with Zim Sailing will offer you more choices and bring a great brand of boats to the regions we serve. Look for more information on Zim’s line of boats in the coming weeks.

This April, West Coast Sailing will once again participate in Strictly Sail Pacific, the West Coast’s premier sailing only boat show. You are invited to join us in Oakland at Jack London Square as we show off boats from RS Sailing. This year we’ll have an RS 100 – 2011 Boat of the Year – and the popular Tera and Feva, two of the most successful roto-moulded boats in the RS line up.
