Returns & Exchanges
Your 100% satisfaction is our goal. If for any reason you have a problem with your product (sizing, color, wasn’t what you thought it would be, etc.) we will happily return or exchange it for you. Please contact us right away if there is a problem with your order or if products arrived damaged. You can find information on returns and exchanges below, or simply give us a call or send an email and we'll help guide you through the process.
Exceptions: Some items are not eligible for our standard returns and exchanges policy. Items including cut line, numbered sails, open DVDs, and products worn or used out on the water are not eligible for return or exchange. Clearance items included on our Deals page (or other product categories) are eligible for exchange (if other sizes/colors are available) or return for store credit only. A note about this policy is included on applicable product pages. Items noted as "special order" and all new kayaks and sailboats will incur restocking fees. These fees are assessed on an individual basis. Contact us for questions about special order items, kayaks, and sailboats.
** Holiday Shopping Returns & Exchanges **
Shop and gift with confidence this holiday with our extended Returns & Exchanges window. Items purchased during November and December are eligible for return or exchange (excluding the exceptions listed above) through the end of January, 2020. Please follow the instructions listed below.
Please print out and complete a copy of our Returns & Exchanges Form (PDF) with your contact info, order number, and items you're sending back to us. This makes it easy for us to quickly process your request. Packages can be sent to the following address:

Returns can be made within 30 days of purchase for full refund (excluding exceptions above). Returns made outside 30 days will be issued store credit. Please include any packaging material along with a completed copy of our West Coast Sailing Return Form (PDF) to make processing the return faster. Please allow 5-7 days for return processing and 1-2 billing cycles for credit to appear. Returns of clearance items for store credit will be issued a gift certificate for the value of the return for use on any future purchase.
Product exchanges can also be made within 30 days of purchase (excluding exceptions above). Generally, the second shipment will occur upon receipt of the item to be exchanged. Please let us know if your exchange is time sensitive and we'll be happy to ship the correct product right away. We understand that every situation is unique and are happy to accommodate your needs. Exchanges will re-ship for free via our standard UPS Ground or USPS services. Please include a completed copy of our West Coast Sailing Return Form (PDF) and all original packaging material. Please see the next section for specific information on International exchanges.
Due to the high cost of shipping internationally, we are unfortunately unable to offer free outbound shipping on exchanges for orders shipping outside the United States. While we are happy to process an exchange within 30 days of purchase (with the same exceptions as domestic purchases) we do need to collect payment for the outbound international shipping charges before shipping the exchange items. Please contact our team if you need an estimate for this service on any item exchange order.
Shipping of items back to West Coast Sailing is the responsibility of the customer. You are welcome to use any convenient method including USPS, UPS, or FedEx. USPS First Class works great for small packages and USPS Priority works great for larger boxes.
